Culture of Fear
We started reading The Culture of Fear, and we have been discussing it in class. I pretty much like the book in a sense that there are a lot of interesting facts in there. In another sense, i dont like the book because all it is doing is bashing journalists over and over again. We got the point the first time around. But i really like reading about all the crazy things that go on in our nation that i didnt know about. I'm enjoying the book so far.

Many of the different issues that the book brings up are interesting in themselves. I hope we will start looking at each one more specifically during the rest of the semester, without focusing so much on the overall frame that fear-mongering by the media provides. I am sure we can discover much more in the book than meets the eye.
