Well, this week we are starting to discuss what our next topic of writing will be about. Im kind of scared becuase i dont really understand how i am supposed to find what topic i want to write about, i understand that i can choose it, but i dont know where to look for one or anything. I liked working in groups but then again i dont, becuase i dont like relying on someone else to be part of my grade. I like to do things bymyself because i know i can do it on time, and do it well(if i know what im doing). But my partner last time was good to work with, so it turned out fine. This time i am not going to have anyone help me write the essay so im a little worried. Maybe once i find a topic than i will be more confident in writing the arguments about it.

Scary

This week we got into groups and started looking at our atricles that we will be writing our essays on. Im kind of scared becuase I am not that good at writing essays on this type of stuff. I can write about lots of things but i am not good at this argument type of stuff yet, but at least i am learning. I like my parnter a lot, he's really cool, so together i think we will have a very good essay.

Culture of Fear

We started reading The Culture of Fear, and we have been discussing it in class. I pretty much like the book in a sense that there are a lot of interesting facts in there. In another sense, i dont like the book because all it is doing is bashing journalists over and over again. We got the point the first time around. But i really like reading about all the crazy things that go on in our nation that i didnt know about. I'm enjoying the book so far.

What Rhetoric class has taught me so far

I have actually learned a lot in these past classes of Rhetoric and Composition. I really hope that I am a better writer after this class, and I think I will be. I have learned that when you are writing you must also think about the audience who is going to be reading what you write. I usually never thought much about that when i wrote papers in highschool, and some of them turned out to be good, so my skills will probably improve a lot more after this class. I never knew any of these terms that I read about or what they mean, so I feel like I am gaining a whole lot of knowledge. It's kind of hard to cram it all in my head in short periods of time but I'm taking it all in.
