I think that burning the nation's flag is a hate crime because its basically symbolzing that you dont care about our nation or that you have something agaisnt it. A lot of people get really offended when someone burns the flag because it is just wrong. You can't just burn something that symbolizes freedom and independence without hating it for some reason.

College sports programs have become "big business." We attend a school that demonstrates this because of the popularity of the Longhorns. As UT students, we proudly support our football team by buying memorablilia, attending/watching the games, and paying enormous amounts of money to do all this. This "big business" makes a lot of money every year from college sports. A good demonstration of this is our stadium, it's huge! This controversial statement can be justified.

Beer is a health food because it brings benefits to your body. Beer offers vitamins and other ingredients that help lower acids in the bloodstream. This can help reduce the risk of heart attacks and other cardiovascular diseases. Drink to your health!

I would say the religion is an argument by the defination of the word. The dictionary defins religion as "Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe" (www.dictionary.com) . This is not the belive of Satanism. But as the in US law they are considered a religion. So this is a contrveral argument envoling Fromal defintions.

I want to say that satanism must not be classified as a religion because religion is the way that you choose to get connected to the god,(or the supernatural power of any kind) to share your worries, ask for help and get rid of your problems. But when we consider satanism, the people who believe in satan, do harm to other living organisms even including human beings. It is not understandable and acceptable as they do harm to other living things that the God(or the Creator) "created". So satanism must not be classified as a religion.

I would disagree that beer is a "healthy food" because healthy would be something that gives you're body well being. And too much beer is not good for you. You can not live on beer alone. If it were healthy than you could drink it as much as you want, but there has to be a limit on it because it could harm you. Something healthy is that which causes good to your body, and beer is not healthy. It is great to drink, but i wouldn't consider it a healthy food.

I think that College sports programs have become a big business. Every year college sports brings in millions and millions of dollars. An event of such popularity such as college football, is broadcasted to millions of viewers all over the nation and world. College sports has gotten to a point where it is now more popular then professional sports. And, as we all know popularity brings in huge bucks and big endorsements for universities. For example, in college football the pay out for a bowl game is more important then the game itself.

Although I personally dislike beer in all ways, I could see why some of the people can consider it a "health food". I think its healthy not in physical means but act mentally as a stress reducer. I know many people who just can't wait to have a couple beers after a stressful week or after big tests. I think by drinking they forget the stressful times, at least temporarily.
