about paper #2
Well, I spent a lot more time on this one than the last. And I hope it is worth it. I did a lot of research and I almost messed up documenting it all if I hadn't looked at the sample research paper in the Brief Penguin Handbook. I searched for typos and I think I got them all. I enjoyed this in a sense; it gave me a lot of frustration trying to make it all tie together and to do what we were supposed to do. I can't believe I put off my math and edited this all weekend and read for mythology. I am now screwed in topology as that i have to prove a theorem in class tomorrow, but this was more important. I think I had the most trouble with citing sources, but I also seriously rewrote a large portion of the paper and took out some things while adding others. But it should be good. Enjoy reading.

first research paper
Well, I am glad I have the oppurtunity to take an interest of mine and research it for class. I feel that the environment is very important now and in the future and it should be treated with care and with a sense of responsibility. But my opinion is what this is about. In researching the EPA, I thought I would just be finding evidence to support that the EPA has done a magnificent job. Yes the EPA has taken good care of the environment. but the EPA has not done the best to decrease any adverse effects on businesses while atking care of the environment. This is kind of disappointing since people need jobs in order to provide for their families. So I have had to change my original intent for the paper. But I like where it is heading. I just have problems with figuring out how to do the citation. One thing I have noticed is that books that have sections on this never do an adequate job of explaining it. They give you a few common examples, but there are so many different possibilities in information that a source provides. Particularly with government information. Oh well I will do my best.

on essay 2
Well, this was a hard essay and I just finished it. For now at least. It needs some serious revising. But as far as it goes doing it I thought I was going to be all for the EPA and that its effects were awesome. But after doing the research I realized there were a lot of ways the EPA could have done better. I was also surprised that I found a lot of articles, but most I could not use well at all. But the few I could I had an enormous wealth in. the EPA website had a lot of information and the government doucuments, though a pain to find were very helpful. I hope I will do well with this. My classes are starting to get to me. I am trying to the best I can in all of them, but it takes a lot to do that and work your way through college. But at the same time i love my classes and the atmosphere here at UT. So i gotta trudge through it all and get crap done.

now the paper is done
Ahhh, now the paper is done. I can relax, momentarily at least. But soon I will start on the next paper. Wow, we spent a lot of time on that last one. We met up last weekend to put our parts together and spent a lot of time trying to make it flow. Then this weekend we cut out repetition and tried to remember the format for the paper. In the end though I think we did pretty well. There was a lot of revising and everyone had different ideas. So putting them together was a challenge. It was interesting to work with Halil, he had a unique perspective on the whole thing. In the end though I think it is all tied together well and we covered all our bases. Hope we did well...

first paper
So, I keep forgeting to blog... Sorry. Well last week was interesting doing the paper. I had to put off other work(mainly my math) in order to get it done. We decided to divie it up and work on it seperately and then put it together. And that of course leaves us with the problem of putting it together. We all have different writing styles and had a lot of overlapping information. So now we have to edit it for brevity. Which is easier said then done. Though I did not think we would have that much at first. I was really worried about falling short. As of now Halil has edited it and Eduardo is going to. And I will this weekend. I will probablby do this while working the football game. But I also intend to get all of my homework done then so we will see. I hope we do well on the paper.
