Throughout the reading, Richard Thieme gives the impression that he is open-minded about the possibility of UFOs and seems engrossed in solving the mystery surrounding the Roswell incident. Thieme’s contact with the LoD and the Air Force officer fueled his fascination about UFOs and his drive in finding the truth. However, Thieme points out that deciphering the code isn’t as simple as it seems. Despite the massive amount of “digital resources,” the truth to the incident is buried under gigabytes and gigabytes of copied and manipulated digital documents and photos. Thieme states, “the closer one gets to the ‘evidence,’ the more it disappears.” Instead of believing everything one reads on the net, Thieme believes that one will find answers only if the “pursuit of the truth is rigorous, disciplined, and appropriately skeptical.”
