During the chat, the characters that have been in the public’s eye/media for the longest time were the easiest ones to recognize. For instance, Oprah, who is well-known throughout America for her talk show, her status, and her humanitarian works, was one of the first characters to be guessed correctly. If the chatroom composed of mostly people from a foreign county, this would not have been the case. People identifies with those that are closest to their interest and culture. With that in mind, the characters of Batman and Dave Chapelle were the most difficult for me to guess just because I haven’t had much exposure to them. Overall, this chat was a very fun experience.

public eye

The clue given for Oprah was an obvious one. She is considered to be one of the most powerful women in America. Her longetivity in the public eye has made her one of the most recognized persons in America also. Bill Clinton and Jennifer Aniston were also pretty easy to recognize simply because the media has kept a watcful eye on them and their personal lives. "I swear I didn't have an affair with that woman" is directly linked to Clinton's statement of not having "sexual relations" with Monica Lewinski. Bombarding media coverage recently has been Jennifer's divorce to Brad, making the clue "I did have family till I got a divorce" an obvious statement. I'd sure hate to be in the public eye!!
