While a resume is nice to have, more and more often potential employers are asking for portfolios that highlight your work and your abilities. As a result, we will be creating portfolios with a professional look and feel - ones you would feel confident asking a potential employer to see. For the purposes of this course, you will be asked to include almost all of the original web and graphic design work you create (do not include Photoshop lessons work). If you choose the option to create a portfolio of other work -- photos, artwork, etc. -- please see me so we can discuss what you are planning to include and the information that will accompany the work.
Please include the following in your portfolio:
- Screen shots of web pages you created for your group.
- All images that you create for the course.
- Anything else you would like to include.
When adding one of your designs to your portfolio, please include the following information:
- Date it was created
- Project Description
- Your role in the design (sole designer or role in the group)
- Design Objectives
- Applications used
- File size
- Any material provided by the client (images not created by yourself or your group)
